Fitcamp
Fitcamp is a fitness class designed for women. It's a mixture of Aerobics, Boxercise and Bootcamp. The class lasts one hour and is designed to burn fat while also working all the major muscle groups in the body to improve their shape.
I've always liked the idea of classes - I find them motivating and encouraging, and I enjoy working out with a group rather than on my own. I went to my first class in NUI, Galway when I moved here and I loved it!
I enjoy both Bootcamp and Aerobics, and I've always liked a bit of variety to keep boredom at bay and that's how I came up with Fitcamp, which has a bit of everything! The class involves lots of Interval training, which has been proven to burn fat 9 times more efficiently than regular training. We also do Aerobics, skipping, boxing, running, stomach work, core work and a good resistance workout for the legs, butt, back, arms and chest.
Each class is only €9 pay-as-you-go which I find is more popular than paying a lump sum up front for a block of classes. If you have to miss a session, you don't lose out on money.
The standard I set the class at is high. It is so important when you are in a class that you feel that there are always more levels to reach. If you can take part in a class and find it really easy, why would you come back? The best way to successful weight loss is to never get complacent, to always have a new goal to reach for!!!
Try taking the focus off the actual weight on your body and put your energy into getting fit. If you do that, the weight will drop off!
Fitcamp classes are designed to encourage you to go at your own pace and build your up fitness levels gradually.
